New Photos

It always takes time to sort through and process the images after a new photographic adventure in Africa and these are amongst my favourites.

Big Cats

Lions, leopards and cheetahs are nature’s masterpieces, creatures of extraordinary beauty, immense power and lethal precision. They are relentless hunters, capable of breathtaking violence, yet they are equally capable of astonishing gentleness, in the bonds they share, with their mates, their cubs and their families, it is impossible not to recognise something of ourselves.

Landscapes

From the glowing dunes of Namibia to the emerald Winter thorn forests of the Lower Zambezi, from the sweeping plains of Kenya to the snow-crowned peaks of Kilimanjaro, Africa is a land that defies description. A thousand lifetimes behind the lens would never be enough to capture her wild soul, her infinite beauty, or the magic that lies around every horizon.

About Me

Born in South Africa, I developed an enduring connection with wildlife and the natural world that continues to shape my creative vision. In my early twenties I moved to Paris, where I worked in media and communications before returning to my artistic roots through painting, exploring wildlife, landscapes, and portraiture.

Photography found me while travelling through the national parks of South Africa, Kenya, Namibia, Tanzania, Botswana and Zambia. Immersed in Africa’s vast landscapes and extraordinary wildlife, I discovered a medium that allowed me to preserve fleeting moments of beauty, intimacy and untamed wonder. It became my lifelong passion.

In 2014, I settled in the Algarve, in southern Portugal, where I continue to develop my photographic practice. Since 2018 I have exhibited my work, sharing images that seek to evoke a sense of connection with the natural world.

Africa remains the soul of my work. Each photograph is both a celebration and a quiet act of remembrance - an homage to the wildlife, landscapes, and communities that have profoundly shaped my life. Through my images, I hope to inspire a deeper appreciation of natures’s beauty while reflecting its remarkable resilience and increasing fragility.
